Teaching Contract in Jeopardy, but Board moves to Renew Superintendent Contract
Our contract and collective bargaining are under attack by state Republicans, but the Superintendent's contract is about to be renewed for 3 years. Please let the school board know your thoughts on this upcoming decision:
Superintendent Coen's contract is up for renewal at Monday night's School Board meeting. His new contract is for 3 years, with his salary set at current levels. 90% of his insurance will be paid each year, and if he is terminated or leaves before the three years are up, he will receive an additional payment.
The contract can be read in the school board minutes, located here pages 76-78.
Weingarten Rights
If the collective bargaining laws pass Tuesday, our Weingarten rights are still in place. If you don't know what they are, please ask a B.E.A. representative!
